Zain: Inside Out Part 1
Episode 566 19th December 2007, ITV1, 8PM
Will and Stone break into a flat only to find a junkie dead. This in turn sparks an investigation where Jack has to rely heavily on the assistance of Zain Nadir of all people. Heaton’s far from happy about it. However there’s killer heroin out on the streets and its coming from Hays End prison, where Zain is currently doing ten years at Her Majesty’s pleasure.
Simon Mitchel, head of the prison wing that houses Zain, shows Jack cctv of his officer Ryan Carter getting into a scuffle with Habib Gassin who, Simon says, planted heroin on him. Sure enough, after a tip-off Ryan was found to have drugs on him. Jack leads on the investigation – his first port of call is Zain.
Elsewhere Stuart and Stone steam into prison officer Ryan’s house after watching a biker deliver a package - as they suspected it was heroin. Ryan was desperately trying to flush it away. He swears he’s being set up by Jason Forbes, Hays End heroin dealer, who also shares a cell with Zain. Ryan insists Forbes must be planning something big and he’s keeping him off the wing.
In the face of Heaton’s personal judgement, Jack ends up instructing Zain to go undercover into Forbes unsavoury world in the hope of gaining valuable info to control the deadly heroin that’s flooded the streets and prison. Although its extremely unlikely Zain will fall in love with this drugs baron, will he double cross Jack again?

BLACKMAILED
BLACKMAILED
Episode 556 | 12th December 2007, ITV1, 8PM
Stuart thought limo driver Trevor Jones was his mate – he not so sure now. Stuart discovered Trevor was the infamous and elusive Postman, a big cocaine dealer, but he can’t arrest him as Trevor has done a tidy little number on CID’s presenter of ‘Wanted’ and blackmailed him.
Trying to get out of the pickle that could lose him his job, Stuart only makes things worse for himself: handing over Trevor’s personal organiser and £5k that had been deposited in to his bank account goes a long way to incriminate Stuart further.
CID mounts a raid on a house where huge amounts of cocaine are cut. Only it’s obvious after they get tricked by a decoy someone has tipped of the dealers. The owner of the house helps with an e-fit of the man who rents the place and Jo instantly recognises him as Trevor.
Jo knows something’s up with Stuart, but is shocked to hear his admission of guilt. She’s insisting Stuart goes and tells DI Mason everything, but Stuart can’t do that – he needs Jo onside. Meanwhile CID’s leads all point towards Trevor. Time’s ticking for Stuart - will Jo risk her job for him…?

TRAPPED
Episode 555 | Thursday 6th December 2007, ITV1, 8PM

Nearby is Chloe, a prostitute who’s been bashed too, but her big bag of drugs weren’t taken - however, she did have her stomach slashed. Trevor saw Chloe being attacked and stepped in to help. Next thing, he’s being woken up on a pavement by Will and Sally. Well, that’s what he says…
Cloe’s got form with Sun Hill – she has a pimp called Dean Glover. Dean says Chloe has a three-year-old child, Katie. Unaware of a child, panic stricken Jo and Stuart race to find her. Chloe’s flat has been broken into and the kid’s missing. Has Lee, the father snatched his own daughter?
Elsewhere Nate and Ben deal with a cafĂ© owner and his son who have come under attack. At first the spray in the face attack looks like anti- Semitism, as it wouldn’t be the first time. However, after further investigation the attack is proved by development plans for the 2012 Olympics…
Jo and Stuart are attacked twice whilst trying to apprehend and an elusive drug dealer. All over Sun Hill the police are picking up reports of ‘The Postman’. He’s a big time dealer, who is never seen, even by his own dealers. Heaton, along with his troops have only one question: Who is The Postman…?

LOVE, LIES AND LIMOS
LOVE, LIES AND LIMOS
Episode 554 | 5th December 2007, ITV1, 8PM
A limo full with a party of women on a hen night in the back has been hijacked. One of the girls called the cops, now it’s a high speed car chase around a building site. The two hijackers high-tailed it out of the limo and the reach of Will, leaving Tony to discover 27 wraps of cocaine in the limo. The girls weren’t best pleased with Tony for that.
Tracking down the owner of the limo, Dave Latham they find his pregnant wife Danielle at home: the door’s been kicked in and so has she. Now it’s a case for CID with Stuart Turner leading the investigation but, Stone (as usual) decides to use his team in uniform to investigate; as according to a cynical Stone: “Time is of the essence.”
Elsewhere Jules Raven is questioned as she was one of the last people to see Dave. Will finds CCTV footage of Jules kissing Dave – which is funny because she said she didn’t know him. Danielle identifies her attacker who’s pulled in, threaten with a charge of murder leaving him no option but to give the team a vital lead: the name Piers Latham.
Meanwhile Stuart (full time detective, part time TV presenter) tracks down Trevor Jones his limo driver for more info. Now armed with a password, Mickey is sent undercover to arrange a limo ride with a stash of cocaine onboard. However Sun Hill is completely unaware of the bigger picture and the bigger fish….

MOVING TARGET: Part 3
Episode 541 | 28th November 2007, ITV1, 8PM
After hearing Heaton under attack in the middle of a shooting, Grace and Mason race to the yet another gun crime scene. They will not know until they get there if Heaton or Sagger, who was with him, are dead or alive. This is the second time their boss and the MP have been targeted in as many days.
Alfie Ruiz was seen fleeing the hospital car park where Heaton and Sagger came under fire at the time of the shooting. At Ruiz’s home a secret room is found by Terry. In there are photos of Sagger with Muntaqim, along with a phone message from Mrs Rachel Sagger on Ruiz’s answering phone.
Tony plays the waiting game, which soon pays dividends when Ruiz returns home. Arrested and down the station, Ruiz denies being the gunman. However, he does confess to following Sagger for his soon to be ex-wife Rachel. Ruiz also claims Sagger had a deal going with Muntaqim.
The elusive Muntaqim is eventually tracked down to his office. Only Sun Hill’s officers are too late: Muntaqim is found with a severe head injury and dies before the ambulance arrives. In Muntaqim’s office are all the clues CID and uniform need to deduce who has been on a shooting frenzy – but will they get to the sniper in time?

MOVING TARGET: Part 2
MOVING TARGET: Part 2
Episode 540 | 21st November 2007, ITV1, 8PM
Paul Sagger MP and Cleric Nadim Mura have been shot down after taking the stage to speak at the ‘Rock Against Racism’ event. Sagger’s been shot in the shoulder – it’s a non-life threatening injury. Mura’s not been so lucky: the bullet has gone into his lung – he’s in a critical condition. Now the investigation moves on to who shot down these key figures in Canley’s community and why?
Mura summons Heaton to his bedside. Heaton asks if he knows who shot him but Mura only manages to whisper the name ‘Abdul Muntaqim’. Minutes after the superintendent leaves, Mura goes into cardiac arrest and dies. This is now a murder investigation.
Grace believes the shooting could have something to do with Sagger smuggling looted artefacts out of Iraq. On the flip side, evidence strongly suggests it was The Bulldogs of Patriotism that assassinated Mura and shot Sagger, after Jo and Terry find a confession.
Back at the crime scene Grace and Manson re-enact the double shooting and realise it was intended to be a triple attack with Heaton being the third target. Whilst phoning through to the super’ their discovery, Heaton gets into his car with Sagger as it comes under gunfire…
