Zain: Inside Out Part 1
Episode 566 19th December 2007, ITV1, 8PM
Will and Stone break into a flat only to find a junkie dead. This in turn sparks an investigation where Jack has to rely heavily on the assistance of Zain Nadir of all people. Heaton’s far from happy about it. However there’s killer heroin out on the streets and its coming from Hays End prison, where Zain is currently doing ten years at Her Majesty’s pleasure.
Simon Mitchel, head of the prison wing that houses Zain, shows Jack cctv of his officer Ryan Carter getting into a scuffle with Habib Gassin who, Simon says, planted heroin on him. Sure enough, after a tip-off Ryan was found to have drugs on him. Jack leads on the investigation – his first port of call is Zain.
Elsewhere Stuart and Stone steam into prison officer Ryan’s house after watching a biker deliver a package - as they suspected it was heroin. Ryan was desperately trying to flush it away. He swears he’s being set up by Jason Forbes, Hays End heroin dealer, who also shares a cell with Zain. Ryan insists Forbes must be planning something big and he’s keeping him off the wing.
In the face of Heaton’s personal judgement, Jack ends up instructing Zain to go undercover into Forbes unsavoury world in the hope of gaining valuable info to control the deadly heroin that’s flooded the streets and prison. Although its extremely unlikely Zain will fall in love with this drugs baron, will he double cross Jack again?

Stuart thought limo driver Trevor Jones was his mate – he not so sure now. Stuart discovered Trevor was the infamous and elusive Postman, a big cocaine dealer, but he can’t arrest him as Trevor has done a tidy little number on CID’s presenter of ‘Wanted’ and blackmailed him.
Trying to get out of the pickle that could lose him his job, Stuart only makes things worse for himself: handing over Trevor’s personal organiser and £5k that had been deposited in to his bank account goes a long way to incriminate Stuart further.
CID mounts a raid on a house where huge amounts of cocaine are cut. Only it’s obvious after they get tricked by a decoy someone has tipped of the dealers. The owner of the house helps with an e-fit of the man who rents the place and Jo instantly recognises him as Trevor.
Jo knows something’s up with Stuart, but is shocked to hear his admission of guilt. She’s insisting Stuart goes and tells DI Mason everything, but Stuart can’t do that – he needs Jo onside. Meanwhile CID’s leads all point towards Trevor. Time’s ticking for Stuart - will Jo risk her job for him…?

Alfie Ruiz was seen fleeing the hospital car park where Heaton and Sagger came under fire at the time of the shooting. At Ruiz’s home a secret room is found by Terry. In there are photos of Sagger with Muntaqim, along with a phone message from Mrs Rachel Sagger on Ruiz’s answering phone.

Back at the crime scene Grace and Manson re-enact the double shooting and realise it was intended to be a triple attack with Heaton being the third target. Whilst phoning through to the super’ their discovery, Heaton gets into his car with Sagger as it comes under gunfire…

Next Episode | Deadly Shame - Part 2
Will struggles with his position of FLO – he needs to find a moment when Karen’s alone to ask her if she feels there’s a possibility her husband and daughter had an inappropriate relationship. Meanwhile Stone encourages Will and tells him he’s doing a good job; a job he didn’t want to take on.
Karen comes to the station after having a very awkward conversation with Will – after it sinks in, she wants to see the video of Chloe talking to the camera. Karen is sure Martin, her husband, did abuse Chloe back when she was only twelve. Now she blames herself and thinks Martin could have killed their daughter.
Elsewhere Grace is talking to Chloe’s best friend Poppy. She explains that Chloe’s dad was always texting Chloe. Poppy recalls her best friend's warning: “You should never believe how people seem on the outside, as they’re all completely different on the outside.”

Next Episode - Deadly Shame Part 1
Only child Chloe Parks is a MISPER, she’s 16 and went missing last night. Chloe told her parents she was visiting her best friend Polly, who only lives over the street; but that’s news to Polly. Stone answers a call at a disused hospital, only to find Chloe dead - it looks like she fell or was pushed from a great height. Stone’s not as cold as usual. Stone suggests Will acts as the FLO; assuming and telling him he doesn’t want to be a plod all his life. As there’s a possibility it could be murder, Will’s not so sure he wants to be the liaison officer.
Spending hours with a family grieving the death of their only daughter is going to be really tough. Meanwhile Diane sides with Smithy as she’s not happy to be partnered up with Stone today. At the crime scene Nixon quizzes Stone on why he didn’t take up the FLO position himself – is this a crack emerging in Stone? He’s obviously troubled by death. As there is bruising on Chloe’s wrists, Lorna, the CSE, voices her suspicion of murder.
Ben is Chloe’s friend and is lying about the actual events of her last night. Chloe’s parents have glossed over their daughter’s past of underage drinking and theft too. Will views a fun DVD of Chloe and Polly – their karaoke is interrupted with a desperate videoed plea from Chloe…
