Chloe Parks, the sixteen-year-old found dead, investigation continues: Her boyfriend Ben Jackson is under arrest – he’s the main suspect for her murder. But Will has found new evidence: a video plea from Chloe begging for her father to stop. Will is left feeling like he’s failed and missed a major point whilst being the Parks’ Family Liaison Officer. What does Karen the mum know?
Will struggles with his position of FLO – he needs to find a moment when Karen’s alone to ask her if she feels there’s a possibility her husband and daughter had an inappropriate relationship. Meanwhile Stone encourages Will and tells him he’s doing a good job; a job he didn’t want to take on.
Karen comes to the station after having a very awkward conversation with Will – after it sinks in, she wants to see the video of Chloe talking to the camera. Karen is sure Martin, her husband, did abuse Chloe back when she was only twelve. Now she blames herself and thinks Martin could have killed their daughter.
Elsewhere Grace is talking to Chloe’s best friend Poppy. She explains that Chloe’s dad was always texting Chloe. Poppy recalls her best friend's warning: “You should never believe how people seem on the outside, as they’re all completely different on the outside.”
